Old Cottonians' Golf Tournament 2024 - Registration Closed
Old Cottonians' Association will be hosting the 2024 edition of its Golf Tournament at the Bangalore Golf Club. Pre-Event registrations are being accepted to determine the turnout and slot booking at the club. The Tee off will be from 11 AM onward, as per the slot bookings. It will be an afternoon game of Golf followed by a Fellowship in the evening at BGC.
Last date for registrations: 12th June 2024 (Wednesday)
Date of tournament: 20th June 2024 (Thursday)
Venue: Bangalore Golf Club
Tee-off: 11 AM onward
Rules of Play and Conditions of Competitions
1. The entry fee for the tournament is ₹ 1200 only.(Green fees as and if applicable, will need to be paid to the club by the participant at the starter’s desk prior to tee-off.)
2. Participants need to be golfers with a valid handicap from an IGU/recognised golf club and with a valid WHS handicap for the month of June 2024. Please bring your valid handicap certificate and Handicap Index.Players should play as per Local Rules of BGC mentioned on the notice board, for the day.
3. Players with a WHS Handicap Index will be allowed to convert to the BGC Course Handicap from the conversion table at the starter. Players without a WHS Handicap Index but with a Home Course Handicap will have to play off their Home Course Handicap off the Club (White) tees.
4. The format of play will be the Stable ford points system.
5. Categories of prizes: Total 7 Prizes
Open Category : Winner and Runner-up
Handicap 0 to 11: Winner and Runner-up
Handicap 12 to 24 : Winner and Runner-up.
Senior Category : 60+ Age group (Single Prize)
NB:
* Players with BGC Course Handicap above 24 will have to play in the 12 to 24 Category.
* Handicap Category is before the 80% factoring.
* Players are eligible for only one prize.
6. The decision of the tournament committee is final on all tournament related issues.
7. The draws will be published on 18th June 2024.
8. The tournament will be followed by fellowship, cocktails, prize distribution, dinner and the special banter of the good old days and which house was best.
